Look what my husband raised this year!!
I guess hot... 108...and dry is good for peach growing.
Hubby baked the pie too...all I had to
do was take pictures and of course eat.
Yummy!!
The rubber snake he hung in the tree to help
keep the birds and squirrels out.
It must have worked!
I don’t think the scarecrow helped at all, but he looks cute.

If I had saw that snake...rubber or not...I'da kept my cotton pickin' hands off the peaches too!
If you need any help polishing off that cobbler...I'm available!

You gotta love a man that can cook! Your heat is like mine, only to grow peaches you must have had some rain. Funny about the snake, we put one on the pool deck a couple of years ago to hopefully frighten of those horrible, nasty big black birds (are they called gackles?) Seems like the only ones it scare was me and the yardguy!
Wow! Your peaches did sooo much better than ours.
Too many extremes this year where we are...and the deer! Wonder if the snake would keep them away, too.
Tell your hubby his peach pie/cobbler looks de-lish!
Kimberly :-)
Those are some good lookin peaches. Our peach trees didn't produce many but the ones that did were really good but ours stopping producing in the Spring. Count yourself blessed. That pie isn't bad looking either. I'll have to remember the snake trick next time.
Peaches look good and glad the snake works.

Well I jumped back from the monitor when the snake appeared! I have heard this helps, should pass it on to my fruit growing husband..
Hi Mary!
What gorgeous looking peaches those are!! For whatever reason, we did not get any this year :-)
Our summer got off to a very slow start, so I am hoping that is why.
These photographs are wonderful, and a hubby that bakes pies is definitely a keeper!!
Have a great day!
Wow...does that look good, your peaches must be delicious. My tree never seems to produce much even though it is a variety breed for our warmer winters. Love all of your glorious pictures, very, very nice and you header is wonderful!
That pie looks delicious! And your husband baked it-lucky you! Glad the snake worked. Looks real to me!
I'd probably pass out if I saw that!

A husband that cooks and has his wife take pictures. What a blessing!
I am blessed with a husband that if I hung a snake- when I wasn't looking he would but batteries, rattle and a motion detector....then wait to watch when I walked by it):-
I've heard humors that the peach crop in Oregon will be poor this year due to the excessive rain and cold. Your look delicious..your hubby did a great job!
Fresh, lovely, yummy peaches! Now that is something we don't get here in Alaska! I'm looking forward to reading more about your adventures!
Those are yummy looking peaches and the pie of course, lucky you your hubby such a great person! Thanks for dropping by and became a follower Mary! The snake looked so real and the scarecrow wont scare anybody since he's so adorable to have around!

What a wonderful crop of peaches. I tried a rubber snake in the garden ... a predator must of come along and took it as it vanished. Bet it got a surprise when it went to eat it.
